Settles When

Earning money and receiving it are different dates. This works out the second one.

Most payout pages tell you a threshold and a schedule. Neither answers the question you actually have: on what date can I spend this money?

There are three dates, and they are commonly collapsed into one. You reach the threshold; later the period closes and payment is issued; later still it clears the rail and is available. Treating "issued" as "arrived" is the same mistake as treating "earned" as "received", one step further along.

People routinely underestimate this by a month or more, because a threshold crossed on the 16th can sit until the next period closes before its clock even starts.
